This week's homework
After Tuesday's trip to Te Papa, I want you to think a little bit more about something that 'wowed' you during the day.
Maybe it was the collosal squid? Maybe the plate techtonics video in Amazing Forces? The Earthquake house? The infested cargo crate?
I now want you to go a bit further with your thinking and dig a little deeper. What other questions do you have about this interest you have? What else can you find out about it?
Sue in the school library, and the Librarians at our local public library can help you. So can books at home and the internet.
Next Monday I will be very interested to learn about what 'wowed' you at Te Papa, and what else you have discovered as part of the extra investigation you've done.
Possible ways of presenting on Monday could be:
* a talk to the class
* a poster you've made
* a slideshow (email to Mr Dobson if you like)
* a blog entry on the class writing blog
* a finger puppet show
* ... and any other way you feel will help you communicate what you have uncovered.
I'm sure you will enjoy the change in homework from the usual spelling and timetables.
